I’ve been struggling with SAT math for a hot minute, and I know I’m not alone. Everyone talks about the reading and writing sections, but math can be a beast! After some serious trial-and-error, I finally found a few strategies that really clicked for me. Here’s what worked:
- Practice, Practice, Practice: Use official SAT practice tests. They’re the closest you’ll get to the real thing. Check out College Board's website for free resources!
- Focus on Weak Areas: I used diagnostics to uncover my weak spots. This way, I focused my study sessions on the topics that needed the most attention.
- Math Formulas: Familiarize yourself with the formulas that can pop up on the test. Create a formula sheet and review it often!
- Time Management: Practice completing sections under timed conditions. Getting used to the clock makes a huge difference.
- Study Groups: Join or create a study group. Teaching others solidifies your own understanding and you can cover more ground together.
Remember, hitting the math section doesn’t mean you have to be a math whiz. It’s all about strategy and practice. Anyone else have tips that saved them? I'd love to hear more!
