If you're like me, you might struggle with certain sections of the ACT math, especially when it comes to time management and tricky questions. One strategy that totally changed my game was dividing my study sessions into focused topic areas.
This is how I did it:
- Identify your weaknesses: Take a practice test and look at which types of math questions you got wrong. Was it geometry? Algebra? Functions?
- Create a study plan: Once you know where you struggle, dedicate specific days to each area. Spend 30-45 minutes on practice problems from those topics.
- Use official ACT resources: The ACT website has practice questions and tests. Make sure you go through those so you’re familiar with their style.
- Take timed quizzes: Once you're comfortable with topics, practice with a timer. It helps simulate test conditions and improves your pacing.
- Review mistakes: Don't just move on after getting answers right or wrong. Spend time figuring out why you made mistakes, and correct them.
By breaking it down and focusing on one area at a time, I saw real improvement. Just kind of treating it like a puzzle, you know? You can totally do this!
