If you're in the same boat as I was, you're probably feeling the pressure of that GMAT exam looming just a month away. I totally get it! I found a study plan that actually helped me get my act together, so I thought I'd share it here.
First things first, assess where you're starting from. Take a practice test to see what your baseline score is. This will help you identify areas you really need to focus on.
Here's a quick breakdown of my month:
- Week 1: Basics and Diagnostic Test
Spend the first few days going over basic math concepts and grammar rules. Then, take a full-length practice test under timed conditions. This is your benchmark! - Week 2: Focus on Weak Areas
Use the results from your diagnostic test to prioritize your study. If math is where you struggled, dig into quant strategies. For verbal, pick a few critical reasoning and reading comprehension resources. - Week 3: Practice, Practice, Practice
Start doing timed GMAT question sets. I recommend using the official GMAT question bank or some reputable prep books. Keep track of questions you miss to revisit later. - Week 4: Full-Length Mock Tests
In your final week, simulate the actual test experience with back-to-back practice tests. This will help you manage your time and get used to the test’s length.
Don't forget to take breaks! Burnout won't help anyone. Also, review your answers, even the correct ones. It’s about understanding the why behind the right answer, not just memorizing them.
Lastly, stay positive! You've got this!
