F1 visa interview tips for students helped me most when they were practical, not generic, so here’s the short list I’m using before my appointment.
- Answer in 2-3 sentences so you don’t ramble.
- Know your program basics: university name, major, why that school, and expected graduation date.
- Be clear on funding: who is paying, savings, sponsor job, scholarship if any.
- Practice return-plan questions like what you want to do after graduation.
- Don’t memorize word for word because it can sound rehearsed fast.
What helped me was recording myself answering common questions and cutting anything that sounded dramatic or vague. Simple answers felt stronger than “perfect” ones.
If anyone wants, I can also drop the 8 questions I practiced most.
