Hey everyone! I've been looking into the F-1 and J-1 visas for students, and I'm really stuck on which one to go for. I know both have their perks, but what are the main differences?
From what I understand, F-1 is primarily for academic students while J-1 is more for exchange programs. With F-1, there's also the option for OPT after graduation, which sounds pretty beneficial if you're considering working in the U.S. later. On the flip side, J-1 seems like it has a cool cultural exchange aspect, which might be great for experiencing the American lifestyle.
Does anyone have personal experience with either visa? How did you choose? Any tips on the application process would be super helpful too!
