I was totally stressing about my TOEFL speaking score, feeling like I was stuck at the same level for ages. A month before the test, I decided to change my strategy.
First, I recorded myself speaking on different topics and then listened to the playback. It was eye-opening! I noticed I was using filler words way too much. I also started practicing with a friend who had already taken the test.
Another game-changer was using the official TOEFL speaking prompts to simulate the actual test. Timing myself helped me get comfortable with the pressure of speaking on the spot.
Anyone else try these? What worked for you?
