I was really struggling with my why this college essay. It felt forced, and I kept writing generic things that could apply to any school. Then I decided to dig deeper into my actual experiences.
I made a list of specific classes, professors, and opportunities that really excited me about the school. I highlighted a community program that I’d want to get involved with, and tied it back to my future goals.
It turned out much more authentic and connected. Authenticity is key! Don't be afraid to be specific and personal.
