If you’re staring down a month to prepare for the GMAT, you might be asking yourself how to make sense of all this material. I was in the same boat and pulled together a plan that actually worked.
First up, know your baseline. I took a practice test to see where I stood before diving in. Then, I split my month into weekly goals focused on each section: Quant, Verbal, and Integrated Reasoning.
Week 1 was all about Quant. I did practice problems daily, mixing in official GMAT questions with topics I struggled with. In Week 2, I switched to Verbal, focusing on reading comprehension and critical reasoning because those were my weak spots.
Each weekend, I took a full-length practice test under exam conditions—timed and no distractions. This really helped me with pacing!
By Week 3, I was reviewing mistakes from previous tests and honing my strategies. Finally, I spent the last week revising key concepts and practicing with the question types I found most challenging.
Don’t forget to schedule breaks and keep your stress in check. I followed a mix of study materials, including GMAT Club forums and the Official Guide. Find what works best for you and don’t hesitate to adjust your plan!
