Have you ever felt overwhelmed by the idea of preparing for the TOEFL in just one month? I definitely was. With just 30 days to go, I crafted a plan that actually worked wonders for me. Here's how I tackled each section, hoping it helps some of you out there!
Week 1: Assess and Familiarize
- I took a full practice test to see where I stood. Knowing my weak points made all the difference!
- Spent a few days reading up on the TOEFL format and types of questions. Watching YouTube videos with tips for each section was super helpful.
Week 2: Focused Practice
- Divided my study time by sections. Mornings were for Reading and Listening, and afternoons for Speaking and Writing.
- For Speaking, I practiced with friends. We’d pick a random topic and just go for it. Recording myself helped too.
Week 3: Mock Tests and Feedback
- I took a mock test every weekend. This built my stamina and helped with time management.
- Reviewed answers and got feedback from a teacher on my Writing responses. This was crucial!
Final Days: Revise and Relax
- In the last few days, I focused on revision and light practice.
- No all-nighters! I made sure to get good sleep before test day. Your brain needs that.
On test day, I felt nervous but prepared. I even used some breathing techniques to calm down. In the end, my score was way better than I'd anticipated! If you're in the same boat, stay focused and use your time wisely. You've got this!
