I keep searching how to improve SAT score in 30 days because that is basically where I am right now, and I wanted to ask people who actually pulled it off. My score is not terrible, but it feels completely stuck, and I only have about a month left before my next test date.
Right now my biggest problem is that I study a lot without feeling like it turns into points. I do practice questions, review some mistakes, then a few days later I miss the same kind of thing again. On Bluebook practice tests I also feel like my score changes a lot depending on the module, so it is hard to tell if I am improving or just getting lucky.
For anyone who managed a real jump in one month, what did your schedule actually look like?
A few specific things I am trying to figure out:
- Did you do full-length tests every week, or focus more on drills?
- How much time did you spend reviewing mistakes versus learning new content?
- For Reading and Writing, what helped more: question type practice or just doing lots of passages?
- For Math, did you memorize formulas and common setups, or was it more about timing?
- Did anyone improve fast without studying like 5 hours a day?
I am especially curious about what people did in the final 30 days instead of general SAT advice. Like if you had one month and needed the biggest score increase possible, what was actually worth your time and what was a waste?
My current rough plan is:
- One full practice test each week
- Review every missed question and write why I missed it
- Target weak areas on the days between tests
- Do timed Math and Reading/Writing sets instead of only untimed practice
But I honestly do not know if that is the best way to improve SAT score in 30 days, or if I should be way more aggressive with drilling specific question types.
If anyone had a score jump in the last month, could you share numbers too? Even just something like what your starting score was, what you ended with, and the two or three things that made the biggest difference would help a lot.
Also, did anybody hit a plateau and then break it? That is the part I am stuck on. I do not need a perfect score or anything, I just want to stop wasting time on study methods that feel productive but do nothing.
Would really appreciate any honest advice, even if the answer is basically stop doing this and focus on that.
