Band 4.0

It is argued that financial education needs to be standing as an obligatory subject in schools to make students understand to allocate their money productively. This essay will discuss why financial a mandatory subject should and should not. Financial subject, nowadays, play a vital role, which help students to manage their income correctly. In addition, students can learn basic things like how to make a budget and save money for later. Many families do not teach these things because they are busy or they also don't know enough about money. So school is a good place for all students to get this knowledge. They can learn about bank accounts, bills and how to avoid spend all money quickly. This is useful when they get a job and receive their own income.

However, some people may say that school has many subjects already and adding another lesson can make students tired. Also, money matters are different in each family, so one lesson may not fit everyone. Students can ask their parents about these matters instead. But not every parent has a good understanding about money, and some parents may not want to discuss it. Therefore, this is not enough reason to keep this subject away from school.

A financial lesson should be practical and easy. For example, students could plan how to use a small amount of money for needs and wants, and compare choices before buying something. Teachers should not only talk about difficult terms, because students may forget them. They can use examples from daily life. This subject also should not replace important subjects like maths and language. Schools can give it a short time each week or include it in other lessons.

In conclusion, financial education should be a mandatory subject because it prepare young people for real life and can help them make better choices. Although schools have many topics to teach, learning to manage money is important for every student. A little education can prevent students to make careless decisions in the future.
