Band 9.0

Dear Sam,

I wanted to say a proper thank-you for helping me move last Saturday. I honestly do not know how I would have managed those heavy boxes without you, especially with the lift out of order. Staying to help put the shelves together was incredibly kind as well.

I am gradually getting settled. Most of the boxes are unpacked, and the living room finally looks like somewhere I can relax rather than a storage room. I have also found a lovely little bakery nearby, which makes the early walk to work much more enjoyable. The only thing still missing is a table for the kitchen, but I should have one by next week.

Would you like to come over for dinner next Friday? I would love to cook something for you as a small way of returning the favour. If Friday does not suit you, let me know which evening would be better. You can also see how different the flat looks now that everything is in place.

Thanks again for giving up your weekend to help.

Best wishes, Alex

Targeted Improvement Tips

1
The letter thanks Sam for the move, describes unpacking and the local bakery, and invites them to dinner with an alternative date. The friendly register is appropriate; refinements should keep that personal tone.
2
Use an overview and group details by the actual comparison rather than describe every label in turn.
3
Check the quoted revisions and retain precise figures, dates, locations and tone.
