Anyone have SAT math tips 2025 that actually helped? I keep seeing the same general advice, but I’m specifically trying to get faster without making dumb mistakes on the digital SAT.
My English is decent, but math is weirdly inconsistent. On some practice tests I miss only a couple, then on others I run out of time or mess up easy algebra because I’m rushing. It’s not like I totally don’t know the content either. It feels more like bad strategy than bad math.
A few things I’m trying right now:
- doing the easier questions first and marking anything that looks time-consuming
- using Desmos more, but I’m probably still too slow with it
- keeping a list of repeated mistakes like negatives, exponents, and reading the question wrong
- redoing missed problems the next day instead of immediately checking the explanation
If anyone improved their math score recently, what specifically made the difference?
Like:
- Did you memorize certain question types?
- Are there Desmos shortcuts that save real time?
- How long do you spend on a problem before skipping?
- Did drilling medium questions help more than hard ones?
I’m aiming for a solid score jump before my next test date, so I’d really appreciate advice from people who found SAT math tips 2025 that were actually practical and not just “practice more.”
Also if you have a routine for reviewing mistakes that stopped you from repeating them, please share because that’s probably my biggest issue right now.
