My takeaway: ED can be worth it if the calculator looks realistic and the school has strong aid. If paying depends on comparing multiple offers, regular decision usually gives you more flexibility.
Small tip: make a spreadsheet with estimated cost, average debt, and whether you would attend without comparing offers.
