The CSS Profile had me feeling super lost at first. Unlike FAFSA, it asks for so much more info—and I was worried I'd mess something up. What helped was reaching out to the school’s financial aid office. They were super chill and walked me through the tricky parts.
I also learned that colleges use it mainly for their own institutional aid, not so much for merit scholarships. So, focus on getting that info right for need-based aid!
