Hey, has anyone else here tried to cram for the TOEFL in a month? I was stressed out at first, but I ended up figuring out a prep plan that really worked for me! Here’s how I tackled it.
Week 1: Understanding the Format
- Started by familiarizing myself with the test format. I watched some YouTube videos and read the official TOEFL guide.
- Did a practice test to see my baseline. This was super helpful to identify my weak areas.
Week 2: Focusing on Skills
- I dedicated each week to a different skill: Listening, Reading, Speaking, and Writing. In week 2, it was all about Listening. I practiced listening to podcasts and TED Talks.
- For Reading, I read academic articles daily and timed myself.
Week 3: Speaking and Writing
- This week was all about Speaking and Writing. I practiced speaking with a language partner and wrote essays for practice.
- Used the TOEFL Speaking templates I found online, which were super helpful!
Week 4: Full Tests and Relaxing
- In the final week, I started doing full practice tests to build my stamina. I also reviewed all my notes and practice essays.
- Towards the end, I made sure to relax a bit and get enough sleep—don’t underestimate this part!
In short, if you stick to a plan and stay consistent, you can definitely rock the TOEFL in a month. Good luck, everyone!
