SAT math tips 2025 are literally all over my feed right now, but I still feel stuck in that annoying 650-700 range on practice tests and I can’t tell if I need better strategy or just way more reps.
My main issue is that I usually understand the concept after I review it, but during timed sections I either go too fast and make dumb mistakes or spend too long on one problem and mess up the rest of the section. The worst part is when I check the answers after and realize it was something small like signs, percentages, or reading the question wrong.
For people who actually improved their SAT Math score recently, what helped the most?
- Did you focus more on Desmos usage or mental math/algebra speed?
- Was it better to drill one topic at a time like linear equations, geometry, and functions, or do mixed sets?
- How did you review mistakes without just passively reading the explanation and moving on?
- Did anyone make a formula sheet or error log that actually helped?
I’m testing later this year, so I’m trying to be smarter about prep instead of just doing random questions every day and hoping for a jump. If you went from high 600s to 750+, I’d really love to know what changed.
