SAT reading and writing tips that finally clicked for me

SATSATreadingwritingstudy tips

I kept searching for SAT reading and writing tips because my practice scores were stuck in the same range for weeks. What finally helped was treating the two sections way more differently instead of doing random mixed drills.

For Reading, I stopped trying to read every passage like a school assignment. I skimmed for structure first, then went back only for proof. For Writing, I made a tiny list of grammar rules I missed over and over: commas, verb tense, pronouns, and sentence boundaries. That alone saved me a bunch of points.

The biggest change though was reviewing why the right answer was right, not just why mine was wrong. That made patterns show up fast.

If anyone wants, I can share the mistake tracker format I used.
