TOEFL has you speaking into a mic while IELTS is face-to-face with an examiner. For someone who gets nervous in front of others, what would be easier?
Some friends say TOEFL is less stressful because there’s no pressure to maintain eye contact, and you can take a breath before answering. On the other hand, I’ve heard that the IELTS examiner can be more lenient if you show effort. I’m trying to figure out which path to take without adding to my anxiety.
