During my first week, student life in USA for international students felt confusing mostly because of small everyday things, not huge problems. The best tip I got was to make one simple routine early: find your grocery store, campus health center, bank/ATM, and one quiet study spot in the first 3 days.
That sounds basic, but it made everything less stressful. Once I knew where to buy food, where to go if I got sick, and where I could study without overthinking it, I felt way more settled.
Also, ask at least one classmate a practical question like where do people usually print? or is this dining hall good? Random little questions helped me make friends faster than forced introductions.
