Hey everyone, I’m in a bit of a bind trying to decide between early decision (ED) and early action (EA) for my top choice school. I know the basic difference: ED is binding and EA isn’t. But I’m really worried about the financial side. My dream school is a tough admit and I need aid. It feels like taking a huge risk if I apply ED, especially if I get in and the financial package doesn’t work out.
How did you all make the choice? Do you think the increased chances with ED outweigh the risk? Or was EA a safer bet for you?
Any insights on what worked for your application strategies would be super helpful!
