So, I'm diving into my Common App essay and I feel kind of lost. I’ve heard so much about common app essay mistakes to avoid, but I’m trying to figure out what they actually are.
Some of my friends are saying that cliché topics are a big no-no, but others say it’s all about how you write it. Does originality matter that much? I just don’t want to be another voice in the crowd.
Also, how much personal story is too much? I want to show my personality, but I'm worried about oversharing. Any insights or common pitfalls to avoid would be super appreciated!
