What should I put on my first high school resume?

I remember when I sat down to create my first resume back in high school, completely clueless about what to include. I felt like I had no experience worth mentioning! But I quickly learned there are a ton of things that can (and should) go on a high school resume.

First, don't overlook your coursework. If you've taken classes that relate to the job you're applying for, definitely list them out! Extra-curricular activities are also super important. Whether you're part of a sports team, a club, or have done volunteer work, those experiences can showcase your teamwork and leadership skills.

Also, if you’ve held any part-time jobs or internships, even if they're casual gigs, they can show your work ethic. And don’t forget projects and skills—things like coding, graphic design, or community service projects can really make your resume stand out!

Overall, it's about presenting who you are and what you’ve done, even if it feels small. What has everyone else included in their first resumes?
