what to actually put on your high school resume?

Hey guys! So I recently had to put together my first high school resume for a summer job and it was a bit of a struggle. I wanted to share what I found works best.

First off, I divided my resume into sections. I included: Education (obviously!), Extracurricular Activities, Volunteer Experience, and Skills. This made it way easier to read.

For the Education section, just list your high school and expected graduation date. For Extracurricular Activities, highlight significant roles. I mentioned being on the debate team and what leadership roles I had. Also, include any relevant volunteer work. Even if you just helped at a local charity, it shows you care!

Lastly, in the Skills section, try to list things that set you apart. Think about what you've learned in school or any hobbies that could relate to a job. I added things like communication skills and time management.

Hope this helps anyone out there wondering what to put on a high school resume!
