The graph illustrates the comparison of a public library 20 years ago and the present time. Overall, it is remarkable that this public library has gone through numerous major changes. 20 years ago, the left-upper side of the library was supposed to be a room filled with CDs, videos, and computer games. In the present, the central tables and chairs have been removed, and the space has been reorganised into several new facilities. Previously, the children's books occupied the upper-right corner, while adult non-fiction books were directly below them. Adult fiction books were on the opposite side, between the media room and the reading room. The enquiry desk was located in the lower-right area, across from the reading room, and the entrance was at the centre of the lower wall. Today, the west side contains children's fiction books and a storytelling area with two sofas at the top, all reference books in the middle, and a computer room at the bottom. On the east side, a lecture room is in the upper corner, with adult fiction books and an information desk below it. Self-service machines and a café occupy the lower-right section. Thus, the library now offers more varied services, although the entrance remains in the same central position.
