Band 6.0

The diagrams illustrate the layout changes of a theater from 2010 to 2012. Overall, the significant alterations were made during those two years are in most of rooms in the theater, such as renovations, constructions, and reallocation. In 2010, the theater had a storage area adjacent to a media room and stage. The stage was positioned between the media room and the auditorium, with the storage area on the left. The auditorium occupied a large central space and contained two rows of chairs. At the front of the building, the administration and ticket offices were on the left, while a café stood on the right; the main entrance was in the middle.

By 2012, the internal arrangement had changed considerably. The media room had been moved to the upper part of the left-hand side, with showers directly below it, while storage was relocated to the upper right. A hall was added across the top, above the stage, and the auditorium remained below the stage with the same seating arrangement. In the lower-left area, the administration office was retained and a restaurant area was introduced. The ticket office was moved to the lower right, replacing the café, and the main entrance remained at the center. Thus, the theater gained new facilities and its support rooms were redistributed, while the main performance and audience areas stayed in similar positions.

Targeted Improvement Tips

1
Replace the current overview with one sentence naming the major additions and relocations, followed by a second sentence noting what stayed broadly unchanged.
2
Describe each plan in a consistent spatial order: upper rooms, stage and auditorium, then offices and entrance-side facilities.
3
After drafting, check overview sentences for one main clause and scan each noun phrase for necessary articles, especially “the rooms” and “a stage.”
