My hometown is now in the city of Malmö, and it's in the south of the city. The city is very difficult to explore, so it's a bit challenging to navigate. Overall, it can be quite hard to find your way around Malmö.

Answer analysis

Fluency & Coherence

The answer follows a clear sequence: it names Malmö, describes the difficulty of exploring it, and restates that getting around is hard. However, “difficult to explore,” “challenging to navigate,” and “hard to find your way around” repeat essentially the same point, so the development is limited. Practise a 30-second response using this answer: give the location, add one distinct detail about getting around, then finish with a brief overall view.

Lexical Resource

The vocabulary is relevant and includes useful alternatives for movement around a city, such as “navigate” and “find your way around.” The main limitation is that these expressions repeat one idea rather than showing a wider range of details about Malmö. For a stronger answer, add one specific, truthful feature of the place or a personal example, and use vocabulary for that detail instead of restating the navigation difficulty.

Grammatical Range & Accuracy

The answer uses mostly controlled simple clauses and links ideas with “and” and “so,” as in “The city is very difficult to explore, so it's a bit challenging to navigate.” The main clarity issue is “My hometown is now in the city of Malmö,” which sounds as if the hometown has changed location; “it's in the south of the city” also has an unclear reference. Practise a direct location sentence, then use a clear pronoun or repeat the place name.

Pronunciation

This is text-only, so pronunciation cannot be assessed, and this practice guide is not an assessment of a recording. Practise the name “Malmö” with clear first-syllable prominence, and group “difficult to explore” and “find your way around Malmö” into natural thought groups. Record yourself reading the answer, then check whether each word is distinct and the phrases are easy to follow; consult a reliable pronunciation source for the place name.

A transcript shows language and organisation. Fluency, delivery and pronunciation require an audio recording; the synthetic voice demonstrates the text, not the original speaker.

  • Clarify the opening by stating the relationship between your hometown and Malmö directly; avoid wording that could suggest the hometown itself has moved.
  • Keep one main statement about navigation difficulty, then use the saved time for a distinct, truthful detail about the place.
  • Practise a 30-second version with three parts: location, one concrete description, and a short overall opinion.
