Pertinently, the seating arrangement at the centre of the library has been completely removed and the space is left open now. Apart from the altering the placement of various facilities, the rooms have been reorganised for a wider range of activities. On the left, the former area for CDs, videos and computer games is now used for storytelling events, with sofas nearby. The adult fiction section has become an area for all reference books, while the old reading room is now a computer room. Children's fiction books are also located between these areas. On the right, the former children's books section has been converted into a lecture room, and adult non-fiction has been replaced by adult fiction. The old enquiry desk has given way to an information desk and self-service machines. A café occupies the lower-right corner. In contrast to these substantial changes, the entrance remains in the middle of the southern wall, and the library's central area, once filled with tables and chairs, is now open.
