The maps show some changes in the central library between the building from 20 years ago and the present conditions. 20 years ago there was an enquiry desk in the right side next to the entrance, but now it changed with a café. In the northeast there was a library filled with children’s book, and it occupied the upper-right corner, with adult non-fiction books directly below it. On the left, the upper area held CDs, videos and computer games, followed by adult fiction books and a reading room. Tables and chairs stood in the centre, and the entrance was at the bottom. Today, the layout is different. The former enquiry desk area has become a café, while the lecture room is in the upper-right corner. Adult fiction books and an information desk are below it, with self-service machines nearby. On the left, there are sofas and a storytelling area at the top, followed by children’s fiction books, all reference books and a computer room. The entrance remains at the bottom centre. Overall, the library has changed from a layout mainly organised around book sections and a central seating area into one with more services and activity spaces. Some sections, such as adult fiction, have moved to different positions, while the old reading room and central tables are no longer shown.
