The pie charts illustrate the value of exports between the US and Vietnam in several categories, measured in millions of dollars. Overall, Vietnam mainly exports agricultural products to the US, while the US primarily exports industrial goods to Vietnam. In addition, the value of US exports is generally much higher than that of Vietnamese exports. Vietnamese exports were led by coffee, at $23 million, followed by fruit and vegetables at $16 million. Together, these two categories made up the bulk of the total. Seafood and rice were nearly equal, at $4.4 million and $4.3 million respectively, while garments and other exports were just $2 million apiece. In the opposite direction, aircraft parts were by far the largest US export, at $72 million. Other goods ($35 million) and machinery ($30.5 million) followed, with fertiliser worth $16.5 million. Cotton and cars accounted for smaller amounts of $12 million and $6 million, respectively. In numerical terms, US exports totalled about $172 million, more than three times the Vietnamese figure of about $51.7 million.
