Band 5.0

Dear Anna, I hope you are in good health and this letter finds you well. I received your request about the New Year’s celebration in my country. I love this part of the year the most as it is celebrated in my country with a great amount of love and empathy. In our country before New Year, families clean and decorate their homes, and shops become busy. On the last evening of the year, people usually gather with relatives or friends, prepare special food, and wait for midnight together. When the new year begins, many people wish one another happiness and good health. Some watch fireworks, while others celebrate at home. The holiday is important because it gives people a chance to spend time with those they love and think about their hopes for the coming year.

What I like most is the warm atmosphere. Even people who have been busy make time to meet, share food, and enjoy each other’s company. I especially enjoy the moment at midnight, when everyone gives good wishes. It makes me feel hopeful and close to my family.

I hope this information helps with your project. Write back and tell me how New Year is celebrated where you live.

Best wishes, Your friend
