Right now, I'm studying at a university in Ukraine that is established in Kiev. And I really enjoy it because I'm studying my favorite subject, and I'm really happy that I got the chance to study here.

Answer analysis

Fluency & Coherence

The answer follows a clear sequence: “Right now” establishes the present, then you identify your university and location, and finish with enjoyment and gratitude. The ideas are relevant, but you do not name your “favorite subject,” so the response could develop the answer to “what do you study?” more directly. Practise a 20-second response: name your subject first, then add where you study and one reason you enjoy it.

Lexical Resource

“Favorite subject” and “got the chance” communicate your interest and appreciation clearly, and the vocabulary suits this familiar topic. However, “that is established in Kiev” is an unnatural way to describe a university’s location, while “really” is repeated. Try “located in Kiev,” vary one intensifier, and name your subject to make the answer more specific.

Grammatical Range & Accuracy

You use several forms accurately, including the present progressive in “I’m studying,” a reason clause in “because I’m studying my favorite subject,” and the past tense in “I got the chance.” The main limitation is that the response relies on connected clauses with a similar pattern. As a next step, practise one shorter sentence followed by a reason sentence; there is no need to change the accurate verb forms.

Pronunciation

Text alone cannot show how you pronounce these words, so this is a practice guide, not an assessment of a recording. Practise “university in Ukraine” with clear stress on “-ver-” and “-KRAINE,” and “favorite subject” with stress on “FAV” and “SUB.” Group the answer as “Right now, I’m studying at a university in Ukraine / and I really enjoy it.” Record it, check that the stressed words are clear, and repeat.

A transcript shows language and organisation. Fluency, delivery and pronunciation require an audio recording; the synthetic voice demonstrates the text, not the original speaker.

  • Answer the question directly by naming your field or subject before describing your university; do not leave it only as “my favorite subject.”
  • Replace “that is established in Kiev” with “which is located in Kiev” to express the university’s location naturally.
  • Practise a 20-second response using three points: what you study, where you study, and one reason you enjoy it.

Ideas to explore

  • Explain what you study and your current stage of study.
  • Give a brief reason for choosing the subject, such as family encouragement or personal interest.
  • Mention a challenge, an enjoyable aspect, and a future plan to make the answer personal and complete.

Suggested structure

  1. State your subject and year of study.
  2. Explain how you came to choose it.
  3. Describe one challenge and one part you enjoy.
  4. Finish with a short goal or reason the subject suits you.
