Answer analysis

Fluency & Coherence

The answer develops in a clear sequence: it names your place of origin, explains that your family resettled, and then identifies Janakpur’s regional and district context. This gives the response a useful progression despite its brevity. For practice, speak for 30 seconds using this answer as a base: keep the same sequence and add one relevant detail about what you associate with either place, without making up facts.

Lexical Resource

The wording is precise and relevant: “resettled” efficiently describes your family’s move, while “historical cities” and “Mithila region” add useful specificity. The place names also make the answer personal rather than generic. “Important spot” is understandable but slightly informal for this context; you could use “important place” for a more neutral tone. Your vocabulary range is effective, though the short answer offers limited evidence of broader range.

Grammatical Range & Accuracy

The sentence combines a contrast with a relative clause: “but my family resettled in Janakpur, which is one of the historical cities…” This shows control beyond simple sentences, and the subject–verb relationships are clear. The second sentence is also grammatically sound. As an optional refinement, consider dividing the long first sentence into two shorter units so the move and the description of Janakpur are easier to follow when spoken.

Pronunciation

This is text-only, so pronunciation cannot be assessed, and this practice guide is not an assessment of a recording. Practise the stress in “originally” (stress the second syllable) and “historical” (stress the second syllable). Group the response into thought units: “I’m originally from Bharatpur in Mahottari district / but my family resettled in Janakpur / which is one of the historical cities of the Mithila region.” Record yourself twice, then check that each place name is clear and the pauses separate the ideas.

A transcript shows language and organisation. Fluency, delivery and pronunciation require an audio recording; the synthetic voice demonstrates the text, not the original speaker.

  • Keep the origin-to-resettlement sequence, and make the relationship between Bharatpur and Janakpur clear when speaking.
  • Try “important place” instead of “important spot” if you want a more neutral register.
  • Practise the answer in a 30-second response, using clear thought groups and adding only a true, relevant personal detail if you have one.
