Answer analysis

Task Achievement

Reports all six figures, but the overview repeats the ranking without clearly summarising the contrasting trends.

Grammar

“The table show”, “it also increase” and “this library decrease” illustrate recurring agreement errors. Past-tense reporting would be more consistent.

Next step

State the main trend and the single decline in an overview, then group the growing libraries together.

Task Prompt

Band 5.0

The table show the number of people who visit three libraries in 2015 and 2025. The libraries are Central, Riverside and Hilltop. The number is in thousands. Central has the biggest number in the table and Hilltop has the smallest number.

In 2015 Central has 120 thousand visits and in 2025 it has 180 thousand visits. This is a big change and the library is very popular. Riverside has 80 thousand in 2015 and 100 thousand in 2025. It also increase but not as much as Central library. There is 20 thousand more visits to Riverside.

Hilltop library is different because it has 60 thousand visits at first and 45 thousand visits at the end. This library decrease by 15 thousand. The numbers for Central are bigger than Riverside in both years. In the first year the difference is 40 thousand and in the second year it is 80 thousand. Overall the total visits are more in 2025 than 2015.

Targeted Improvement Tips

1
Write a one-sentence overview after the introduction that states the contrasting trends: Central and Riverside increased, while Hilltop declined.
2
Replace subjective wording such as “very popular” with measurable comparisons based on the table.
3
Proofread the verb in every sentence and use past tense consistently for the 2015–2025 changes.
