Band 6.0

The table gives information about visits to three public libraries in a city in 2015 and 2025. All numbers are given in thousands. Overall, Central was the most visited library in both years, and two libraries received more visits while Hilltop received fewer.

Central had 120,000 visits in 2015. This number went up to 180,000 in 2025, which was an increase of 60,000. Riverside also became more popular. It had 80,000 visits in the first year and 100,000 in the second year. Its increase was much smaller than the increase at Central.

On the other hand, Hilltop had 60,000 visits in 2015 but only 45,000 in 2025. The number fell by 15,000. Hilltop was the least visited library during both years. In total, the libraries had 260,000 visits in 2015 and 325,000 visits in 2025. This means there were 65,000 more visits in the city by the end of the period. The biggest part of this growth came from Central.

Targeted Improvement Tips

1
All numerical comparisons are supported: totals rise from 260,000 to 325,000, Central grows by 60,000, Riverside by 20,000 and Hilltop falls by 15,000. Describe visits rather than infer numbers of distinct visitors.
2
Use an overview and group details by the actual comparison rather than describe every label in turn.
3
Check the quoted revisions and retain precise figures, dates, locations and tone.
