Task Achievement

Selects the principal trends and gives relevant comparisons without inventing reasons for them.

The overview, growing libraries and declining library form a clear progression.

Band 7.0

The table compares the annual number of visits to Central, Riverside and Hilltop public libraries in 2015 and 2025, with figures expressed in thousands.

Overall, the combined number of visits increased, although this growth was not shared by every library. Central attracted the most visits in both years and recorded the largest increase, whereas Hilltop experienced a decline.

Visits to Central rose from 120,000 in 2015 to 180,000 in 2025, an increase of 60,000. Riverside showed a smaller rise of 20,000, reaching 100,000 at the end of the period. As a result, the gap between these two libraries widened from 40,000 to 80,000 visits.

In contrast, the number of visits to Hilltop fell from 60,000 to 45,000. It remained the least visited library, and its figure in 2025 was exactly one quarter of Central’s. Taken together, the three libraries received 325,000 visits in 2025 compared with 260,000 in 2015. Central therefore contributed most of the overall increase of 65,000.

Targeted Improvement Tips

1
All numerical comparisons are supported: totals rise from 260,000 to 325,000, Central grows by 60,000, Riverside by 20,000 and Hilltop falls by 15,000. Describe visits rather than infer numbers of distinct visitors.
2
Use an overview and group details by the actual comparison rather than describe every label in turn.
3
Check the quoted revisions and retain precise figures, dates, locations and tone.
