The provided line graph displays the distribution percentages of Australian exports to four specific countries over a span of 22 years from 1990 to 2012. Overall, China emerged as the dominant recipient of Australian exports throughout the period, consistently surpassing the other three countries. Japan and the US initially held significant shares in 1990, which then generally declined, although their trends differed. In contrast, China and India began at much lower levels, but both rose over time, especially China after 2005. The later figures qualify this overview: Japan was highest at the beginning, and China only overtook it between 2005 and 2010. Japan accounted for about 26% in 1990, fell to 20% in 1995, and then decreased to around 18% in 2000 and 2005. It slipped to approximately 17% in 2010 and stayed at that level in 2012. The US share fluctuated, falling from about 11% to 8% by 1995, recovering to 11% in 2000, and then declining to 5% in 2010 before rising to 7% in 2012. By contrast, China climbed from roughly 2% in 1990 to 11% in 2005, then surged to 25% in 2010 and 28% in 2012. India remained close to 1% until 2000, rose to 5% in 2005 and peaked at 7% in 2010, before ending at 5%.
