Answer analysis

Fluency & Coherence

The answer follows a clear sequence: you state your usual preference, explain when you choose coffee, then reaffirm your preference for tea. That gives the response a coherent beginning and ending, though the ideas are only briefly developed. Try a timed 20-second response using this same sequence: preference, reason, exception, conclusion. Add one short detail about your morning routine without changing your main point.

Lexical Resource

Phrases such as “green tea,” “gives me energy,” and “stay awake” express your choices and reasons clearly and naturally. The vocabulary is appropriate, but “drink” and the tea-versus-coffee contrast recur, so the range is modest. Practise replacing one repeated verb with a natural alternative such as “have” or “choose,” while keeping the answer conversational and avoiding unnecessary embellishment.

Grammatical Range & Accuracy

The response uses accurate sentence patterns, including the reason clause in “because it gives me energy” and the time clause “when I am studying.” The purpose phrase “in order to stay awake” is also correctly formed. There is no clear grammatical error to correct; to show a little more range, practise combining the contrast between your usual choice and occasional coffee use in one well-controlled sentence.

Pronunciation

This is a text-only response, so pronunciation cannot be assessed from it. For practice, mark the main stress in “green tea,” “gives me energy,” and “stay awake,” then group the answer into thought units: “Honestly, I tend to drink green tea / especially in the morning / because it gives me energy.” Record yourself reading it, check whether the key words are clear, and adjust the grouping. This guide is not an assessment of a recording.

A transcript shows language and organisation. Fluency, delivery and pronunciation require an audio recording; the synthetic voice demonstrates the text, not the original speaker.

  • Practise delivering the answer in 20 seconds using the order: usual preference, reason, exception, final preference.
  • Reduce repetition by trying “have coffee” or “choose tea” once, while keeping the meaning unchanged.
  • Record one reading and check whether you clearly stress “green tea,” “energy,” and “stay awake,” with a brief pause between the main ideas.
