Sample answer

I spend all my leisure time watching YouTube. I do this activity to relieve my stress, and I can't find any kind of video attraction on YouTube.

Answer analysis

Fluency & Coherence

The answer follows a clear sequence: it names the activity, gives a reason, then adds a contrast with “and I can't find…”. However, that last point makes the response feel unfinished because it does not explain what you mean by “video attraction.” For practice, speak for 30 seconds using this sequence: activity, how it helps, and what kinds of videos you do or do not enjoy. Add one specific example if it is true for you.

Lexical Resource

“Leisure time” and “relieve my stress” communicate the topic and your reason clearly. The main limitation is the unnatural phrase “video attraction”; it is not a usual way to describe videos you find interesting. Next, practise useful combinations such as “videos that appeal to me” or “videos I find entertaining,” and choose the one that accurately expresses your meaning.

Grammatical Range & Accuracy

Your first two sentences are understandable, and the compound sentence beginning “I do this activity to relieve…” uses a clear purpose structure. The response relies on short, simple clauses, though, and “any kind of video attraction” is not a natural grammatical combination. Try joining the activity and reason with “because,” then use a separate sentence for the contrast: “However, …”.

Pronunciation

This is a practice guide, not an assessment of a recording; pronunciation cannot be judged from text alone. Practise the word stress in “leisure time” (LEI-sure TIME) and “relieve my stress” (re-LIEVE my STRESS). Say the answer in thought groups: “I spend all my leisure time watching YouTube / to relieve my stress.” Record yourself twice, then check that each phrase is easy to understand.

A transcript shows language and organisation. Fluency, delivery and pronunciation require an audio recording; the synthetic voice demonstrates the text, not the original speaker.

  • Replace “video attraction” with a phrase that clearly expresses your meaning, such as “videos that appeal to me.”
  • Make the link between your activity and its purpose explicit: explain that watching YouTube helps you relieve stress.
  • Practise a 30-second response with one clear example of the kind of video you do or do not enjoy, if that is accurate for you.

Ideas to explore

  • Name reading as the free-time activity you enjoy.
  • Mention the library and the Peace Hotel as places where you used to read.
  • Include the detail that you read in class three times, expressed clearly.

Suggested structure

  1. Answer the free-time question directly with the activity.
  2. Add a sentence about when or where you used to read.
  3. Give the class-reading detail in a separate, clear sentence.
  4. Check that each detail connects to reading rather than introducing a new question.
