Band 4.0

The two maps illustrates the changes that happened to an island called paradise . Oveall , over the period , the area witnessed dramatic changes . Infrasturcture and facilities added to the layout some places did not changed . Layout’s centre was empty and reustarant was built there. Scientific research station and pier was located on the western side. There was also a boat near the pier. In the present map, the island become more developed for visitors. The research station and boat are not shown now, and the palm trees in the past map are also not there. A hotel complex and swimming pool was added in the middle-west area. The beach still exist, and swimming is permitted now. A cruise ship is shown beside the pier. On the east side, the natural spring remain, while a cafe, open restaurant and BBQ area was added. A cycle path goes around much of the island, and a scenic lookout is added near the rocks. The rocks and sea stay in similar places. Overall, the island changed from a quiet place with a research building to a tourist place with more things for visitors. These changes give visitors more facilities, but the island have less natural trees in the present map.

Targeted Improvement Tips

1
Before writing, list the features that remain (beach, pier, spring and rocks) separately from those added or removed, and verify each against the maps.
2
Organise the response by comparing the past with the present; use location words such as “on the western side” and “near the rocks” to make the changes easy to follow.
3
Leave time for a final check: correct the spelling of map labels and review every subject–verb pair and every verb following “did.”
