The given diagrams illustrate the significant changes and progress that has taken place in paradise island over a course of time. Overall, the island has gone through a lot of major changes and a substantial amount of development has taken place on the island which can be seen as the infrastructure and amenities of the island. In the past, Paradise Island had a beach, a pier and a small boat near the shore. There were also a scientific research station, several palm trees, rocks and a natural spring, while most of the land was undeveloped. In the present diagram, the beach remains and swimming is permitted there. However, many new facilities have been built. A swimming pool and hotel complex are located near the centre, with an open restaurant and a cafe nearby. A cycle path goes around much of the island, and a BBQ area has been added on the eastern side. There is also a scenic lookout close to the rocks and spring. At the coast, the original pier remains, but a cruise ship is now shown beside it instead of the small boat. The scientific station and palm trees are no longer shown. Overall, the island has changed from a quiet, mostly natural place into a developed destination for visitors, although the sea, beach, rocks and spring remain.
