The maps illustrated the layout of Paraside Island in the past and present. From an overall perspective, the island has noticeably turned from a remote area to a vacation venue, which undergone deforestation and welcomed the urban development of amenities, restaurants and infrastructures throughout the timeframe. In the previous years, Paradise Island represented natural elements such as a beach, a pier, a boat, several palm trees, a scientific research station, a natural spring and rocks. The sea surrounded the island, and there were no visitor facilities apart from the pier and boat. In the present-day map, the island has been substantially developed for tourism. The beach remains and is now marked as suitable for swimming, while the old pier has been retained and a cruise ship is shown nearby. A hotel complex and swimming pool have been added in the central-western area, with an open restaurant, a BBQ area and a café further east. A cycle path runs around much of the island and connects the developed areas. There is also a scenic lookout near the rocks in the northeast. The natural spring and rocks remain, although the palm trees and research station are no longer shown. Overall, Paradise Island has changed from a largely natural setting with a small research presence into a resort, while some natural features have been preserved.
