User Essay Analysis

The diagrams compare student rooms for two people and one person at an Australian University. Overall, differences between the two categories can be clearly witnessed, with the most significant ones being the gap between the rooms’ width and prices and the appearance of a table and chairs in the twin room. On the West of each plan, a bathroom occupies the upper-left corner, while the cooking facilities are arranged along the lower-left side. The twin room measures 6 metres by 4 metres, giving it a larger floor area than the single room, which has the same 6-metre width but is only 2.5 metres deep. In the larger room, two beds are positioned along the right-hand wall, with a separate study desk for each occupant. A table with two chairs sits near the centre, and the kitchen area includes a stove and sink. By contrast, the smaller room contains one bed and one study desk, and no central dining table is shown. The weekly rent is $350 for the twin room, compared with $200 for the single room. Thus, the shared room is both larger and more expensive, and costs $150 more per week.
