The bar graph illustrates the proportion of males and females across various age groups engaging in daily physical exercises in Australia in 2010. Overall, females exhibited higher participation rates than males in physical activities. Males aged 15-24 were the most active, while females in the 45-54 and 55-64 age groups showed the highest engagement in 2010, at approximately 53% each. The male figure began at about 53% among 15-24-year-olds, then declined to around 42% for those aged 25-34 and reached a low of roughly 40% in the 35-44 group. It subsequently recovered, rising to about 43% among 45-54-year-olds and 45% for those aged 55-64, before reaching approximately 47% in the oldest group. Female participation, by comparison, rose from around 48% in the youngest group to just under 50% among 25-34-year-olds. It then stayed relatively high at about 52-53% for those aged 35-64, before falling to roughly 47% among people aged 65 and over. Thus, women recorded higher rates in the four middle groups, whereas men led among 15-24-year-olds and the figures were nearly equal in the oldest category.
