The bar charts illustrate the decisions made by both graduates and postgraduates in United Kingdom in 2008. The data is divided into four categories, including Part-time work, Voluntary work, Further study, and Unemployment. Overall, most graduates and postgraduates tend to further their studies, while the smallest percentage of students opt for voluntary work. Additionally, postgraduates show a similar pattern, with further study the most frequent destination at 2,725, only slightly above part-time work, at 2,535. Unemployment accounted for 1,625 postgraduates, whereas just 345 did voluntary work. For graduates, the corresponding figures were 29,665 in further study, 17,735 in part-time work, 16,235 unemployed, and 3,500 in voluntary work. Thus, graduates outnumbered postgraduates in each category. The largest gap between the groups was in further study, with 26,940 more graduates than postgraduates; the smallest gap was in voluntary work, at 3,155. The charts give counts rather than percentages, so these comparisons show numbers, not relative shares of each group. Overall, the two groups have similar rankings across the four destinations.
